We said our goodbyes today...

It feels like only yesterday we went to Chicago to pick up my parents from O'Hare, but it was almost four months ago. Today they took off to go back home. Our time together flew by so quickly...on the way to the airport mom said we have to make sure to enjoy every moment we have with Bailey because the time will fly even faster now!
Mom and dad enjoyed their Winter stay with us. They got to experience a few of American traditions - Thanksgiving Dinner (cooked by Jeremy), Christmas celebration with family, Santa's presents, Super Bowl (we got to visit Indy during that week), President's Day, and small portion of March Madness. But more importantly,  they got to enjoy with us the first four months of Bailey's life.
My family has always been very close despite such huge distances between all of us - Russia, Spain, US, Canada. Our time together just reminded me of how much I miss being close to mom and dad, and how I wish my siblings were closer.
I miss mom and dad terribly already!

On another note, Bailey is doing GREAT, growing every day! She has officially said her first word, and I have witnesses. She called me "Mom" the other day, and it was such a sweet sound to my ears :)
At Bailey's four-month check up our doctor, Dr. Jain, said she's doing wonderful. She's growing like a champ! She was still off the charts for her height, and pretty close with her weight. She's right around 16 pounds now,  and 26 3/4 inches tall. She wears size 3 diapers; clothes vary from 6-9 months to 12-18 months outfits. Feeding schedule is every 3-3.5 hours during the day with sporadic naps, but at night we usually get about 9-11 hours of sleep.
Here are a few of Bailey's latest glamor shots:

Our Canadian Family

We had a great pleasure of hosting my brother and his adoptive parents - Doug and Prue - from Canada for a few days. Unfortunately this was a very short trip and we didn't get to spend much time together, especially because both Jeremy and I worked. Bailey enjoyed having many babysitters!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Our little munchkin got her first Valentine's present from her daddy this week - balloon & toy. Bailey LOVES balloons! She likes watching it float up to the ceiling...makes me smile watching her watching the balloon.

Bailey is doing great these days - eating, sleeping, peeing & pooping like a champ! She eats every 2.5-3 hours, and takes several naps during the day with no particular schedule. During the night we get on average 8-10 hours stretches of sleep. We are transitioning from sz. 2 diapers into sz. 3. Bay has a pretty good control of her hands now - she likes holding little toys and really likes to suck on two of her fingers (occasionally she tries to put the whole wrist in). She also likes sitting up - laying down is no fun because you can only see a few things, but when you are sitting up you can see a lot :) Bay is also a very good singer - she probably gets it after Jeremy ;)

Bailey got a very cute outfit for Christmas from Uncle Josh and Aunt Christi. It's SO cute, that we like to wear it several different ways, and can't decide which way is cuter. Can you?

We have grandma Judy visiting us right now. Bailey is enjoying the attention from lots of people this weekend...

Long overdue (short) update...

I'm not even sure how and where to start this post. So much happened since the last time I wrote here...

Bailey Boo is already 3+ months. The latest weight-in was 3 days ago - the results are: weight 4lb 10oz & height 26.25 inches. She currently wears 6-9 months old clothing, and we unfortunately had to put many clothes away without her even trying it on once. Her personality is very much like Jeremy's - she loves to talk! Many times during the day she will just lay and blabber to herself. Bailey's favorite toy is the fan on our bedroom's ceiling, even if it's not on she can lay and look at it forever, but when it starts moving then you can see such pure joy on her face! It's almost as good as when she sees Jeremy in the evenings when he comes home from work...The cutest thing I've ever seen.

Yesterday we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday! It been so nice to have him and mom around to help with Bailey. I will surely struggle when they leave...

Anyways, my little one is calling me now. Until next time...good night
